The ajanta caves are generally agreed to have been made in two distinct phases.first during the 2nd BCE to 1st century CE,and a second several centuries later.the caves consisting 36 identifiable foundation some of them discovered after the original numbering of caves from 1 to 29.

Who built the caves of ajanta?
20 caves are built during " The vakataka dynasty" during the reign of " harisena" and at the end of this reign these caves were abandoned.

About my experience at visit of khodidas parmar art gallery
In gujrat the state of bhavanagar has planned the exhibition of paintings. Which are based on the caves of ajanta. The exhibition was planned at zaverchand meghani auditorium in (khodaidas parmar art gallery) the exhibition opens for all local citizen of bhavanagar. This exhibition oragnize by shree khodidas parmar art foundation on 24 to 26 September 2021.
Which type of paintings are in the exhibition?
As I said above that the paintings are based on ajanta caves. There is original painting which is done by shree khodidas parmar.

this is original painting done by shree khoidas parmar for originality of painting khodidas parmar use the blade& duster of candle.
In the exhibition there are 58 paintings but they are not original as the painting of khodidas. They all are done by various artist of bhavnagar. All painting has done with some "modern effects" here I am sharing some painting which is done with modern effect in exhibition painting with modern effect
This is painting of "bodhisattva padmpani" we can see in the cave of ajanta in the cave number 1. this is not original this is painted by artist. This painting represent princely &divine status. The crowns despited are the ancende those used in buddhist rituals.today by the vajracharya priests in nepal.
This is original painting which is done by shree khodidas parmar the name of this painting is thatagat buddha this painting represent "one who thus gone" thatagat is pali word in the caves of ajanta cave number in the cave number 3 the painting of thatagat buddha has done.
This is a painting of baudh sadhu which is not original it is done artist with modern effect it represent the life of baudh sadhu.
What is center of attraction in this exhibition ?
The center of attraction is the participant stand with candles and show the visitors their painting and by this unique experiment it feels like we are in the caves of ajanta.
